    Forgot your password or Candidate ID

    If you’ve forgotten your password or Candidate ID, you can use our “forgot password” feature to regain access to your certification account. We can help you set a new password in several ways. Learn more about your options below.

    Get a new password or retrieve your Candidate ID now

    Set a new password using your email address and retrieve your Candidate ID

    If you want to reset your password by submitting your email address, please make sure that you are providing the email address that is listed on your account. We will then send you an email with a link to a page that will allow you to reset your password.

    This page will also include your Candidate ID.

    You can also reset your password by submitting your Candidate ID. We’ll send you an email with a link that will allow you to reset your password.

    Set a new password using your exam registration number and retrieve your Candidate ID

    You can create a new password by providing your last name and your exam registration number. Upon providing this information, you can enter a new email address that you want to use on your account. We’ll send you an email to the new email address you provide with a link to a page that will allow you to reset your password.

    This page will also include your Candidate ID.

    Your registration number is listed on your score report as well as your exam appointment confirmation email.

    If you don’t have your exam registration number

    If you cannot access your score report or your exam appointment confirmation email, you can log into your testing provider account, which lists your exam registration number as part of your score report. If you do not have access to your testing provider account, please call your testing provider for assistance. In most cases, this will be Pearson VUE, which can be contacted at (877) 551-7587, Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. U.S. Central Time.

    Please note that CompTIA cannot help you retrieve your registration number.

    If you’ve submitted your password information, but did not receive a reply from us

    If you sent us your email address or registration number to create a password, but did not receive an email with password instructions, please check your email spam folder. Our email will show the address CompTIAnoreplies@comptia.org
