Hello, everyone. Today, we'll be discussing CompTIA's eBook product. We'll discover what is included and the difference between the self-paced and instructor-lead training products.
Let's begin with the self-paced student guide. Upon purchase, the student will receive an access key that they will redeem at login.comptia.org. Once redeemed, navigate to the Access your Training section and select Self-Paced Study Guides. eBooks are accessed from our web reader, and the landing page is the student's library. The student's library contains a youth guide, providing an overview of the features and functions found within the eBook. And if you have eBooks for multiple certifications, the official CompTIA study guides will display in this library.
Next, we will select the desired study guide. The course material for the selected study guide will open in the web reader and students can now begin learning. In contrast to the self-based study guide, the instructor-lead training student guide is accessed on learn.comptia.org. Students will receive instructions to access the training from the designated organization or learning institution.
Once logged in, students have access to review activities, resources, and they're able to track their proficiency in these Strengths and Weaknesses dashboard. Review activities are accessible in the left navigation bar, and students are able to watch videos, take practice questions, and complete assessments. Instructors will have access to the analytics associated to these review activities to track the progress of the student's proficiency. The Resources tab contains the student guide along with additional resources, including study notes, transcripts, mapping course content, and students are able to download their eBook and learn offline.
On the far right of the displayed student guides, select Launch eBook. The course material for the selected student guide will open in the web reader and students can begin learning. We have now learned the difference between self-paced and instructor-lead training eBooks and what is included in each product.
