Hi, everyone. Today, we'll learn about the instructor reporting associated with your student guide as well as what reporting is available. Please note that reporting is only available for the instructor-led training ILT product. As an instructor, you'll first need to log into your account at learn.comptia.org. Once you've logged in as an instructor, your landing page will be the Boost Dashboard. If you're an instructor with the additional role of institution admin, you can navigate to the Boost Dashboard by clicking on your profile icon dropdown located in the top right corner of your CertMaster Learn page, and from the dropdown select Boost Dashboard. From the Boost Dashboard, you'll find both student and group reporting in the left navigation bar under Analytics. Starting with the Student Reports, you'll need to select the student that you wish to see the reporting for. With the student guide, the reporting available to you will be the overall progress, the average practice question score, and the average assessment score for your student.
The following section will display the Strength and Weaknesses bars for the student. The Strength and Weaknesses bars in the CompTIA Student Guide is a visual representation of a student's performance in various domains or topics covered in the CompTIA certification exam. Strength and Weaknesses show student proficiency against others using the same course. At the bottom of the page is additional detailed reporting on various aspects of student performance. The reports show confidence levels based on the videos viewed, practice questions answered, and assessments completed within the learning platform. Moving on to Group Reports, you'll first need to select Group Reports from the left navigational bar under Analytics. After selecting a group, you'll need to select Analyze next to the product that you wish to see the reporting for.
Once on the group's reporting page, you'll see the overall progress, average practice question scores and average assessment scores for the group. The group reporting will also feature their own Strength and Weaknesses bar, along with a detailed section at the bottom for the group. In the first detailed section, you'll encounter a comprehensive list of students within your group. You have the option to select any student to view their individual reports. This section also includes reporting for practice questions and assessments. The practice questions section offers you the five most challenging practice questions per lesson. As an instructor, you have the flexibility to use the dropdown menu to select the specific lesson you wish to review. You'll see how many students attempted each question and the percentage of who answered it correctly.
If you click on a question, it will expand and show you the question, the answer choices, and the correct answer from the most challenging questions. Moving on to the assessment section, here you'll find the five most difficult questions from the assessment. Much like the practice questions, you can select and expand these questions to reveal more information, including the average success rate of the students for each question, the question itself, and the correct reasoning. By utilizing the student and group reporting, you can stay informed about your student's progress throughout their learning journey. You have now learned about the instructor reporting associated with your student guide, as well as the variety of reporting options available.
