Hello, everyone. Today we will be highlighting the unlimited contract only associated with CompTIA's usage-based billing model in the CertMaster Learn Platform. Usage-based billing is a method of payment and access that allows CompTIA customers to gain open and unlimited access to CompTIA content and to be charged for their usage once a month. This is considered an organization business license, enabling the visibility of student management and reporting progress. For more information on becoming a usage-based billing partner, please review the associated videos or speak with your designated business development manager. Contracts can be viewed by those users assigned to an institution admin role. Once logged into your CertMaster Learn Institution Admin Dashboard, select contracts on the left side of your screen. Please note that you cannot change or amend any contract in this tab. The contracts tab is solely a reference of purchase details within the platform.
To identify your unlimited contract in your contracts tab, reference the titles including UBB, which is shortened for usage-based billing. The contract name will include the certification title. For example, CompTIA Integrated CertMaster Learn and Labs for Security+ SY0-601_UBB_your institution name. Under the available seats category, it will be listed as unlimited. As an admin, you will have the ability to assign as many students or instructors to this contract until the certification lifecycle ends. Your organization is billed monthly based on the actual consumption of learner activations for the prior month, without having to manage additional user seats. Instructors will not be billed as they have free access to the CertMaster Learn, and the CertMaster Learn and Labs products and its resources. Once the admin assigns the designated license to the student and the student activates their license, they will have 12 months to complete their learning plan. For additional support on assigning contracts to users, please review the associated videos.
Let's review the following categories that make up the contract. The used seats category displays the number of students assigned to the contract. After this contract has been assigned to the student, they will take an available seat that counts towards the used seats. The users uploaded category will display total number of users assigned to the contracts. This includes students and instructors. Once the contract is activated by the user, it will add to the users activated category. The first user activation date is the first date a user may activate their contract. The last user activation date is the last day a user may activate a contract. The start date is the first day an admin may grant user access to the contract. The end date is the last day a user may be assigned to a contract.
CompTIA lists the year 2099 due to the certification expiration date being undecided during the product launch. When the certification expiration date is decided, the contract will be updated by CompTIA. Once the certification expires, the contracts are no longer valid. CompTIA will add a new contract with the updated certification to your institution on the day of the launch. Finally, the admin access expiration date refers to the date that the admin will lose access to the platform. We have now reviewed the unlimited contract associated with CompTIA's usage-based billing model, and the CertMaster Learn Platform.
