A demonstration of what a supervisor sees in the platform and walkthrough of the Boost Dashboard.
Institutions use supervisors to give users who are not instructors access to the Boost Dashboard. Within the Boost Dashboard supervisors can create curriculums and view analytics based on student, group, and institution-level performance within CertMaster Learn courses.
It may be appropriate for an institution to make a user both an admin and a supervisor in order to provide access to both the Institution Admin and Boost Dashboards.
In order for a supervisor to view the CertMaster Learn course, an admin would need to add the supervisor to a contract.
When the supervisor logs in, the default view will be group reports within the Boost Dashboard. While instructors only have access to reports for groups they are a member of, supervisors can access reports for groups and students across the institution. The supervisor can navigate within the Boost Dashboard by using the menu located on the left side of the screen.
Curriculums provide a way for supervisors to customize the Learning Plan for specific students or groups of students.
Supervisors can access student, group, and institution reports which are based on student performance and progress.
The data in the Boost Dashboard is updated twice a day. Supervisors can always determine how current the data is by referencing the date and time stamp at the top right side of the screen.
In Student Reports, supervisors can see the students currently enrolled in their active courses and each student’s aggregate progress and performance. Click on the drop-down menu to navigate to data for a specific course.
For more detailed information on a specific student’s performance in a specific course, supervisors can click on the name of the student and select “Analyze” next to the desired course. This view provides a comprehensive view of student progress and performance in all aspects of the course.
In Group Reports, supervisors see aggregate data for all students in a given group. Click on the drop-down menu to navigate to data for a specific course.
For more detailed information on a specific course, supervisors can click on the name of the group and select “Analyze” next to the desired course. This view helps to identify topics and activities in the course the group as a whole is struggling with to help inform instruction.
In Institution Reports, supervisors see aggregate data for all groups within a given institution.
Student, Group, and Institution Reports can be exported at various levels to a .CSV file by clicking Export on the right side of the screen.
