NOTE: This article requires you to have already configured an LTI 1.3 integration between CertMaster Practice and your Moodle. If you have not done that, see our related article first.
- In a Moodle course as an Instructor or Admin, toggle Edit Mode on in the upper right.
- If needed, create a Section by clicking 'Add Section' at the bottom.
- Click the '+' at the bottom of a Section and select 'Add Activity/Resource'
- In the screen that appears, search for and select CertMaster Practice (LTI 1.3) (or the name of the tool as configured by your LMS Administrator).
- Click the 'Select Content' button in the Activity configuration screen that appears.
- In the content selector, select the certification course you wish to place content from.
- Create the desired LTI links:
- Click 'Add learner dash' or 'Add reporting dash' to add a link to one of those destinations.
- The reporting dash is only accessible by instructors, and so it's recommended to leave this hidden to students, as they will encounter an error if they try to launch it.
- Click 'Select Learning Modules' to select from a list of individual modules, including the Practice Test.
- The Practice Test will return a percentage of 0-100%, which is then applied to the point value you set for the item in Moodle later on.
- Please note that the other modules are not considered complete until the learner "masters" each question. The module will repeatedly present the student with incorrectly answered questions until they answer correctly. As such, non-Practice Test modules will always return 100% to the LMS on completion, regardless of how correctly they answered the questions.
- Click 'Add learner dash' or 'Add reporting dash' to add a link to one of those destinations.
- After placing your link, you can edit the Moodle activity to configure due dates, point values, and other parameters as usual.
