Note: Completing this process requires opening an LMS Setup ticket with us. Please read through our article on the LMS Setup intake process toward the bottom of that page, and return here once you have an open ticket.
- As a Schoology Admin, navigate to Schoology's App Center page for CertMaster LTI Adv.
- Click Install LTI 1.3 App at the top, and click I Agree.
- Click Continue to verify you are authorizing Deep Linking, Assignment and Grade Services, and Names and Roles Services.
- Click Add for Organization
- In the list that appears, find the CertMaster LTI Adv app, and click Configure to the right. Copy the Deployment ID down for use in Step 9 below. Click Save Settings.
- Back in the list of apps, if you wish to install this tool to all courses, select the Install/Remove button next to the App, check All Courses and Course Admins only, and click Submit.
- You may leave Course Admins unchecked if you want non-Course Admin Teachers to be able to add links to courses with the tool.
-
If you only want to install the tool to select courses, skip this step, finish the rest of these instructions, and read the section at the bottom on Course-level installations.
- Open the Registration Form that was sent in your LMS Setup ticket with CompTIA.
- Paste the following into the Client ID field:
- 7830897240
- Paste your Deployment ID from Step 5 into the corresponding field, and click Submit.
- There is a known issue with the Registration Form where in some cases, it will reject the Deployment ID saying that it doesn't match the required format. If this happens, please send the Deployment ID to your CompTIA Technical Integration rep in your ticket email thread, and they will enter it manually.
Course-level Installations
If you only want to install the tool to certain courses in your Schoology, instructors can install the tool to their own courses by navigating to Schoology's App Center page for CertMaster LTI Adv and installing from there, provided the above instructions have been completed by an Admin first. If an instructor tries to do this before the admin's configuration is complete, they will receive an error when they attempt to use the tool.
Please see our other articles on Schoology LTI 1.3 to learn how to add content links to a course.
