CompTIA offers organizations the ability to apply for a Line of Credit (LOC) to make purchasing easier and more flexible. Below you'll find everything you need to know about the application process, required information, and what to expect.
How to Apply for a Line of Credit

Access the LOC Application
- Log in to your CompTIA Account at www.comptia.org.
- Click on the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner and select Customer Profile.
- Locate the Line of Credit section and click on the “Line of Credit Request” link.

Complete the Line of Credit Form
Fill out all required fields in the form, including:-
- Requester Email
- Requester Name
- Full Legal Entity Name (as it appears on W-9, if applicable)
- Customer Address (including city, state, and country, as it appears on W-9, if applicable)
- Phone Number
- Detailed Description of Your Request: Please share any relevant information about your LOC needs, and attach a screenshot if applicable.
- CompTIA Account Executive
- Account Number
- D-U-N-S Number (if applicable)
- Additional Purchasers’ Full Name and Email Address (optional)

You may attach any supporting documents or screenshots that can help us process your request more efficiently. -
Submit the Form
By submitting the LOC request form, you acknowledge and agree:- Approval is subject to a credit check and execution of a Line of Credit Agreement.
Special Instructions for Academic and Government Agencies
Academic and government agencies cannot sign the standard Line of Credit Agreement and are not eligible to apply through the online LOC form. Instead, they should:

Submit an official purchase order (PO) to purchaseorders@comptia.org.
- CompTIA will review the PO to confirm that your organization qualifies as an academic or government agency.
- If qualified, CompTIA will configure your account for purchasing via PO, matching your credit limit to the PO amount.
- You will receive an email notification once you are approved and can check out via the Line of Credit option
What Happens Next? (Approval Expectations)

Expect an Email Notification:
Once you submit your application, CompTIA will review your request. You should expect to receive an email with either your approval or rejection within 2-3 business days. -
If Approved:
You will receive a Line of Credit Agreement to review and sign, and once finalized, your LOC will be activated for your account. -
If Rejected:
You will receive an email notification with further information.
View Your Line of Credit
You can view your available Line of Credit at any time by logging in, selecting Customer Profile, and reviewing the My Saved Payment Options section. Your available Line of Credit will also appear as a payment option at checkout if active.
How to Use Your Line of Credit
Once your Line of Credit has been approved and is active, select LOC (Line of Credit) as your payment method when checking out on the CompTIA Store.
Follow these steps to use it on your CompTIA purchases:
- Browse www.comptia.org and add the desired products to your shopping cart.
- Once ready, go to your cart and click Checkout.
- Under the payment section, select LOC (Line of Credit) as your payment method.
- Important: Ensure that the total order amount does not exceed your approved Line of Credit or the remaining balance from previous purchases.
- Review your order details and place your order.
Your order will be processed and the purchase amount will be deducted from your available Line of Credit.

Available Credit:
The standard Line of Credit limit offered is $10,000 USD. (The available credit displayed may not reflect all open orders or include exact currency conversion.) -
Custom Credit Amounts:
If you require a different LOC amount, contact your CompTIA Account Executive to discuss your needs. -
Credit Verification:
Approval of your application will depend on a credit evaluation and agreement to CompTIA’s Line of Credit terms.
