Understanding CompTIA Exam Scoring and Score Reports
CompTIA’s exam scoring process is designed to ensure the quality and integrity of our certification exams. We use a mathematical algorithm to calculate a “scaled score.” This scaled score is derived from what would otherwise be a percentage score, and passing scores are determined through thorough statistical analysis.
Please note that CompTIA does not disclose the number of questions required to pass an exam or the number of questions answered incorrectly.
What to Expect on Your Score Report
After completing your exam, you will receive a score report. While the report does not specify which questions were answered incorrectly or how many, it does provide valuable insights to help you improve.
The score report includes a list of exam objectives associated with questions that were answered incorrectly. Reviewing these objectives can help you identify areas where additional study and preparation may be needed, allowing you to focus on improving your knowledge in those specific areas.
