The process that CompTIA uses to score exams is designed to maintain the quality and integrity of our proprietary certification exams. A mathematical algorithm produces a “scaled score” for exams and passing scores are set by statistical analysis. A scaled score is deduced as what would otherwise be a percentage score.
CompTIA cannot disclose the number of questions required to pass a given exam.or disclose the number of questions you answered incorrectly on an exam.
Score Report Details
You will receive a score report after the completion of your exam. Score reports do not provide details on which specific questions or how many questions were answered incorrectly.
The score report includes a list of exam objectives that correspond to one or more questions being answered incorrectly. Reviewing the listed exam objectives for questions answered incorrectly can be helpful for focusing additional study and exam preparation in those areas.
