CertMaster Practice can be integrated in a number of ways, but recommend using the following: one ungraded link to a Learner Dashboard containing the review modules by domain, one link to the Instructor Dashboard, and a direct link to the Practice Exam that will pass grades back to the LMS.
Configuring CertMaster Practice via XML

Click the Admin icon on the top left, and select the Canvas account, sub-account, or course where you’d like to make the integration tools available for instructors/course designers.

We recommend selecting the lowest point on the hierarchy that fully covers all the courses where you'll be using the tool -- for example, the sub-account for the Computer Science department at a college, or the sub-account for an IT-based Workforce Development program.

Click Settings at the bottom of the left hand navigation

Click the View App Configurations button in upper right.

Click colored +App button in upper right.

Change the Configuration Type dropdown at the top to Paste XML.

Fill the fields as indicated by the ‘Learner Dashboard’ portion of the .txt file sent to you by your CompTIA integration specialist.

Hit Submit and affirm your way through the dialogue boxes.

Repeat steps 4-7 for each tool in your configuration file(s). If you’re following the recommended method, there will be a total of 3 tools for each certification: the Learner Dashboard, the Instructor Dashboard, and Practice Test.

Once you’ve finished, the tools will be available for immediate use! We recommend placing them into the course (For more info, see our article on Using LMS Integration to place CertMaster Practice content into Canvas (LTI 1.1)and contacting your integration specialist with any issues that arise.
