If you encounter an error while trying to redeem your access key for a CompTIA product, don’t worry!
Below are common errors you might see, what they mean, and how to resolve them. Follow the steps to redeem your access key and your training successfully.
Common Errors and How to Resolve Them
1. “Unable to Validate Candidate ID”
This error occurs when your access key is being redeemed under the wrong account. It’s likely that you created a new account, but your access key must be redeemed under the account that holds your certification.
How to Fix It:
- Sign in to the account associated with your certification and redeem your CompTIA CertMaster CE course.
- If you do not have access to your account, please submit a Help Request and provide the following details:
- Full name
- Home mailing address on your account
- Email address on your account
- Candidate ID and/or exam registration number
2. “This Access Key Has Reached Its Maximum Redemption Limit”
This error means that your access key has already been redeemed. You can still access your training by following the steps below.
How to Access Your Training:
- Go to CompTIA Training Products Login.
(Tip: Bookmark this page for easy access in the future!) - Log into your existing CompTIA account. If you don’t have an account, click Sign up now to create one.
- Note: CompTIA recently migrated to single sign-on (SSO). If you haven’t logged in through this page before, use the Reset your password option to create your new SSO password.
- Access your training products in one of two ways:
- Option 1: Click on Access Training from the header of the home page, then select your product type.
- Option 2: Click on My Training Products from the account icon drop-down in the upper-right corner of the page, then click on your product name.
3. “It Appears You Have Duplicate Accounts. Please Click the Help Button to Request for Our Support Team to Merge Your Accounts”
This error indicates that you have multiple accounts in the system, which may be causing issues with redeeming your access key.
How to Fix It:
- Submit a Help Request and provide the following details:
- Full name
- Home mailing address on your account
- Email address on your account
- Candidate ID and/or exam registration number
