Issue
Occasionally, despite multiple attempts, a student is unable to successfully complete all or part of a lab simulation.
Approach
Carefully compare the lab's Scenario, Task Summary, and Explanation sections. These areas often provide additional information and clues needed to successfully complete the lab simulation.
The Explanation section contains numbered steps that outline one method for completing the required tasks. While these steps may not include every detail needed to complete the lab, they should be used together with information provided in the Scenario, Task Summary, diagrams, and other resources within the lab.
Keep in mind that lab simulations are designed to evaluate specific tasks and may not support every possible method of completing those tasks. Pay close attention to the instructions and information provided within the lab to determine the expected solution.
Where to Look for Help
After clicking the Done button within a lab simulation, the Score Report dialog will appear.
The Score Report includes:
- Task results
- Score results
- Step-by-step guidance for completing the lab
You can print this information by selecting the Print icon in the upper-right corner of the Score Report.
Students who need additional assistance with completing lab assignments should contact their instructor.
