You have the flexibility to reschedule your CompTIA exam for a different date, time, or test center location. You can also switch your appointment from an in-person exam at a test center to an online exam—or vice versa.
If you want to switch from an in-person exam to an online exam, you’ll need to cancel your current appointment first through your Pearson VUE account.
Important: You must cancel or reschedule your exam at least 24 hours before your in-person appointment time. Appointments must be rescheduled prior to the start time of your online exam appointment time.
If you don’t, your exam fee will be forfeited, and you’ll need to pay to reschedule.
How to Cancel Your Exam Appointment
Follow these steps to cancel your exam:
- Log in to your CompTIA account.
- Click Manage Exams in the header or scroll down to Manage your exams section.
- Click the My Exams button to access your Pearson VUE account.
- Under Upcoming Appointments, find your exam and click Cancel.
- Check the box to confirm you’ve read and agree to the cancellation policy.
- Click the Confirm Cancellation button.
- Check your email for a cancellation confirmation.

Payment Methods
- If you paid with an exam voucher: Your voucher will be reinstated after you cancel your appointment. You can reuse it to reschedule your exam but remember to take your exam before the voucher expires (typically 12 months from the purchase date).
- If you paid with a credit card: Your exam fee will be refunded to your account. Refunds may take up to five business days, depending on your credit card company.
How to Reschedule an In-Person Exam Appointment
You can reschedule an in-person exam for a new date, time, or test center location.
Important: Reschedule your exam at least 24 hours before your appointment time to avoid forfeiting your exam fee.

- Log in to your CompTIA account.

How to Reschedule an OnVUE Online Exam Appointment
You can reschedule an OnVUE online exam for a new date and time.
Important: Online exam appointments must be rescheduled before the start time of your current appointment.
