To be eligible for student discounted pricing, you must be a student currently enrolled at one of the following educational institutions: U.S. degree granting Title IV Universities, U.S. High school Junior and Senior students who are 16 yrs. of age and older, or Canadian Universities.
CompTIA uses a third-party student verification service, SheerID, to verify active student status. Note: You will receive your best price when you verify your student status with SheerID. No additional discounts can be applied in addition to your verified SheerID discount.
Regarding the required documentation, we need to see a school-issued document that shows the following:
· First name
· Last name
· School name
· A date within the current term
Examples of acceptable documents include, but are not limited to:
· Dated student ID cards
· Class schedules
· Transcripts
· Tuition receipts
· Registration receipts
· Official letter from school confirming active enrollment
For student issues with declines: To proceed, please have the student reach out to SheerID individually using their own email addresses by creating a new support ticket at https://support.sheerid.com/en-US/help-center/contact-form. This will allow them to guide them directly through the approval process and request any necessary documentation.
How to Get Your Student Discount
1. Create or Log In to Your CompTIA Account
- Visit www.comptia.org.
- In the upper right-hand corner, find the Login tab.
- Click the drop-down and select My Shopping Account.
- If you already have an account, enter your email address and password to log in.
- Don’t have an account? Click Create an Account and follow the prompts:
- Use your school email address for the best benefits.
- Enter the verification code sent to your email.
- Create your password and complete your profile.
2. Submit Your Student Verification Details
- After logging in, click on My Customer Profile.
- Select Validate Student ID.
- Complete the form with the following:
- Country
- School name
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- School email address
- Click Verify My Student Status to submit.
3. Get Confirmation and Unlock Discounts
- After submitting, you’ll receive a confirmation on the website and via email.
- Your verified student status will automatically unlock access to special student discounts in the CompTIA Store.
