You have three years from the date your certification was earned or renewed to complete the CE Program requirements to remain certified. CompTIA provides a generous 90-day grace period beyond your certification expiration date to pay any outstanding CE fees and/or upload CEUs.
Once your certification has expired, you’ll have the option to activate the 90-day grace period. Once you activate the grace period, you will be granted 90 days from the original expiration date to pay any outstanding CE fees and/or upload CEUs.
Your 90-day grace period is NOT an extension to complete additional CE activities to earn more CEUs. All CEUs must be earned within your three-year CE renewal period to be valid for renewal. No further time will be granted beyond the 90-day submission grace period, and there are no exceptions.
Earning another CompTIA certification or completing CertMaster CE within your grace period will not renew your certification(s).
