What change is happening to CompTIA Server+ and Project+ certifications?
CompTIA Server+ and Project+ are moving from “Good for Life” certifications to our Continuing Education (CE) Program, effective October 1, 2025.
What will individuals who earn CompTIA Server+ or Project+ after October 1, 2025, need to do to maintain their certification?
They will need to keep their certification active through regular Continuing Education (CE) renewals.
Will individuals who already have CompTIA Server+ or Project+ be able to participate in the CE Program?
Yes. If you already hold one of these certifications, you were automatically granted the CE version of the certification, which you will need to keep active through regular Continuing Education (CE) renewals. You can complete Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to renew these certifications.
When will the requirements need to be completed?
The renewal deadline for the CompTIA Server+ CE certification is October 1, 2027.
The renewal deadline for the CompTIA Project+ CE certification is October 1, 2028.
