Hi, everyone. Today, we'll be learning how to distribute student access keys as the Institution Admin in CertMaster Learn. This functionality can only be performed with the Student Access Key Delivery Method and if you are assigned the role of Institution Admin.
If you are using the Student Upload Delivery Method, please refer to the Adding a Student video. With this delivery method, you are not creating the student in the platform, but rather providing each individual student with an access key and your institution-specific URL.
The benefit of using the access key is to give the student the flexibility to access the course at their convenience. Upon key redemption, the student will have 12 months of access to their courseware before expiration. The purchaser for the institution will receive two emails, one containing an attachment containing the student access keys and the other containing the order
Details, redemption instructions, and the institution-specific URL. If you are accessing the platform for the first time, the email titled Your CompTIA CertMaster Learn Order Details will display detailed instructions for new and returning users.
You may also refer to the How to Access the Institution Admin Dashboard video. Your access keys will appear as a CSV file and it is the admin's responsibility to distribute them to the students. The email containing your order details will have a subject line of: Your Institution, Your CompTIA CertMaster Learn ILT URL, and Registration Instructions. This email will display detailed instructions for assigning instructors to the contract as well as your institution-specific URL. With classroom setup with access keys, you will not be assigning students to the contract.
From both emails, you will need to communicate your institution-specific registration URL, access keys, and the following registration instructions to your students. Once a student registers at this URL, you will be able to view their account within the Institution Admin dashboard and monitor their progress and performance in the course within the Boost dashboard.
