This video will show how to add an instructor into your CertMaster Learn Institution.
Hi, everyone. Today, we are going to be learning how to add an instructor into your CertMaster Learn Institution. This functionality can only be performed by users who have the Institution Admin role assigned to them.
Admins will start in their Institution Admin dashboard and navigate over to the Instructors tab. From the Instructors tab, you can select the dropdown from the blue box labeled New Instructors and from the dropdown select "Add Instructor."
To create an instructor, you will start by entering the instructor's name and their email. The Password field is optional, but best practice is that you leave this field blank. If you leave this field blank, an account registration email will be sent automatically to the user. If you enter a password, you will need to manually provide this information to the user. The next step is to assign the different roles to the instructor. The Instructor checkbox will be selected by default, but you can assign the additional roles of Institution Admin and Institution Supervisor here. After choosing the roles, you now want to select the contract that you would like to assign to the instructor.
This contract is certification-specific and will provide the instructor with the associated Instructor Resources and Course Copy. Select the dropdown and select the contract that this instructor needs. At the end of each contract name, it will label how many seats are available. These seats are only for students, and instructors already have free access to the platform and to the course resources. After selecting a contract, you will have another checkbox option appear. This checkbox is to ensure that instructors do not take a seat from a student and exempts them from a seat count. Please be sure to check this box whenever you are assigning a contract to an instructor.
The last step is to confirm that the correct course is being assigned to the instructor, and you can do this by selecting the checkbox and making sure that this reads the name of the course you are about to assign.
After all the information has been looked over, you can press Create. After creation, you'll be brought back to the Instructors tab where you'll see your created instructor at the top of the list. If a password was not set during creation, your instructor will automatically receive that account registration email at this time.
This email will contain a link for that instructor so that they can access their account for the first time. And that is how you add an instructor to your CertMaster Learn Institution.
