Refreshed Courses:

- Organized into Modules to follow the Learner Progression Model, enabling learners to progress from contextual content to application and mastery.
"As Is" Courses:
- These courses will retain the same structure and content as they had on the CompTIA Learning Center.
- Organized into Lessons and Topics, with the same learning assets such as PBQs, videos, practice questions, and Final Assessments.
Key Changes and Feature Differences
There are several differences between the CertMaster platform and CompTIA Learning Center. The main difference users will see is that you navigate through the course via the course outline rather than the learning plan. The course outline in CertMaster lists every piece of content in order and can be filtered by asset type, if desired.
New Features in CertMaster:
- Course Outline: Navigate through the course via the outline, where you can see all content in order, filter it, and search.
- Interactive transcripts: Videos have interactive transcripts, which allow learners to read along and easily navigate and revisit sections of the video.
- Robust Reports: Instructors can view reports to check on individual students or see trends for the entire class. This makes it easy to identify topics that need more attention or move on early if everyone is getting it. Learners can also view their progress against exam objectives.
- Gradebook: All student progress is automatically recorded in the integrated grade book, making grades and scoring easy.
- Classroom management Tools: Institutions and instructors can easily manage their courses through rostering, temporary access, invite students, license management, student view, and LMS integrations.
- Custom Quizzes: Instructors can create and assign their own custom quizzes from questions and simulation labs in the course.
Features Not Available in CertMaster:
- Flashcards
- Game Center
- Learning Plan
- Strengths and Weaknesses dashboard (replaced by CertMaster reports)
Teaching Aids:
All teaching aids previously available in the CompTIA Learning Center will be accessible in CertMaster under the Resources section.
