As part of CompTIA’s ongoing commitment to provide a seamless and supportive journey for learners, all CertMaster users — including those accessing the platform through an LMS integration — will now benefit from having a linked CompTIA Central account.
CompTIA Central is the main hub for learners: it’s where exams are scheduled, certifications are managed, and it also serves as your CompTIA Store login. Linking your CertMaster and CompTIA Central accounts creates a unified experience as you move from learning to exam day and beyond.
What does this mean for CertMaster users?
When you access CertMaster for the first time, you’ll see an “Upgrade Account to Streamline Access” pop-up. What you do next depends on your situation:
1. First-time CompTIA learners (no existing CompTIA account)
If you have never created a CompTIA account at our Store or a legacy learning platform, choose: Create CompTIA Account
- Enter your email address and select Send verification code.
- Check your email inbox for the code. Enter the code in the Verification Code field to verify your email and complete account creation.
2. Users with an existing but unlinked CompTIA Central account
You likely already have a CompTIA Central account if you have:
- Earned a CompTIA certification using your school email,
- Used one of CompTIA’s legacy learning platforms, or
- Purchased courseware or exams from the CompTIA Store.
If so, please select Link Accounts.
- Enter your existing CompTIA Central username/email and password.
- Your CertMaster and CompTIA Central accounts will then be connected.
*Please Note, this is a one-time action.
CertMaster users who have already linked their accounts will benefit from an improved single sign-on experience when scheduling their exam. There will be no pop-up messages on CertMaster and no further action is needed, allowing them to stay focused on their studies and certification goals without interruption.
