Overview
To access platform.comptia.org and log in via Single Sign-On (SSO), your network or email system must allow communication with CompTIA’s domains. This ensures you receive important communications, such as email verification codes required for secure student access.
Important: Whitelisting Details
Why Whitelist?
Whitelisting the CompTIA domain is essential so students can receive verification emails needed to log in securely. These emails include only security-related messages, such as login verification codes or password reset links.
What Needs to be Whitelisted?
Please ask your IT or email administrator to whitelist the following:
*.comptia.org
*auth.comptia.org (for more granular controls)
This will specifically allow the delivery of verification and security emails from CompTIA, including access to platform.comptia.org and related SSO services.
Note:
*Whitelisting .comptia.org will not result in students receiving marketing emails. Only required security and transactional emails (like verification codes and password resets) will be delivered to students.
Steps for IT Administrators
Step 1: Whitelist the Domain
Update email and network security settings to allow all emails and access from *.comptia.org.
Step 2: Test Access
After updates, students should be able to log in to platform.comptia.org using SSO and receive verification codes promptly.
