Reset a Student Password

While anyone can request a temporary password for their account, as an instructor you can provide students with both their login and a temporary password as needed.

1. Click your class name.
2. Click Students.
3. Click the student’s name.
4. Under the User Profile the student’s Username is listed.
5. Select Password & Recovery.
6. Click Generate temporary password.
7. The password is immediately displayed.
8. Once the password is provided to the student or written down, close the window.

The original password remains active unless a temporary one is used. Temporary passwords are valid for 12 hours.
