To ensure a smooth experience for delivering a Client-Proctored exam, please review and apply the following configuration settings on each testing workstation. A moderate level of technical knowledge may be required to complete these steps.
Configuration Steps and Settings
- Prepare the Workstation:
- Save any open files and close all windows before launching the Pearson VUE Browser Lock.
- Security Software Settings:
- Ensure that any security software does not block JavaScripts.
- Some internet security or antivirus software may require you to add an exception for the Pearson VUE Browser Lock secure browser.
- Printer Installation (Optional):
- Consider installing a printer so test takers can print their score reports after completing the exam.
- Keyboard Shortcuts:
- Ctrl+R: Refreshes the Browser Lock.
- Alt+P: Moves to the Previous Item.
- Alt+N: Moves to the Next Item.
- Trusted Sites Configuration:
- Add the following URLs as trusted sites under Internet Settings:
- Go to Control Panel > Internet Options > Security tab.
- Select Trusted Sites and click the Sites button.
- Add the following URLs to the list of trusted websites:
- http://*.pearson.com and https://*.pearson.com
- http://*.pearsonvue.com and https://*.pearsonvue.com
- 159.182.0.0/16
- Note: If your system does not accept the IP range 0/16, try using just 0 at the end.
- You may also need to deselect the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone option.
- Add the following URLs as trusted sites under Internet Settings:
