The Boost Dashboard is used for viewing, analyzing, and exporting Student, Group, and Institution reports. An instructor using the Boost Dashboard can access Student and Group reports. They will only see data for the groups and students they manage directly. A supervisor using the Boost Dashboard can access Student, Group, and Institution reports. They will see data for all students and groups across the institution.
The data in the Boost Dashboard is updated twice a day. You can always determine how current the data is by referencing the date and time stamp at the top right side of the screen.
From the Boost Dashboard navigation bar on the left, you will see the reports you have access to.
In Student Reports, you can see each student’s course activity as well as aggregate progress and performance. Click on the drop-down menu and select your desired course to view course specific data.
From this view, you will be able to view the following data points for each of the students in the selected course – student name, student ID #, how many courses each student is enrolled in, the number of active courses for each student, the last date each student was active in the course, the average session time for each student, the average Learning Plan progress for each student, the average practice score for each student, the average PBQs score for each student and the average assessments score for each student.
You can sort the scores by using the up and down arrows located next to each column header. You can export the data available in this view to a CSV file by clicking the Export drop down button on the right.
Next, let’s take a closer look at the data available for specific students. Click on one of the students in your class.
Under the Student Overall Session Summary, you will find one datapoint that was not available from the Student Report view – Total Time Spent. This shows you how much time this student has spent to date working in CertMaster Learn, across all courses.
Under the Courses Breakdown Summary, click Analyze to see data specific to a course.
The Student Overview provides a visual summary of the individual student’s (1) Overall Progress, (2) Average Practice Score, (3) Average PBQ score, and (4) Average Assessments Score.
The Strengths & Weaknesses shows student proficiency for each lesson based on their answers to practice questions and assessments, and the difficulty of questions. Students can be ranked from Beginner to Expert.
The Details section provides additional data based on activities within the course – Lessons, Flashcards, Practice Questions, PBQs, and Assessments.
For each Lesson, you can view how many pages within the Lesson the student has reviewed and marked their confidence level. This helps you determine how much of the core learning content the student has accessed and what areas of the course they may need some additional review.
In the Flashcards view, you see how many Flashcards each student answered at the lesson and topic level, and their confidence level in answering the Flashcards.
In the Practice view, you can see the student’s score on the practice questions for each lesson. On the left-hand side of the Practice view, you can see detailed information on average answer time for correct and incorrect answers. Students can take practice questions multiple times with the most recent score reflected in the Boost Dashboard.
In the PBQs view, you can see how much time the student spent on the PBQs for each lesson, and also the highest score they received for that PBQ. Students can take PBQs multiple times with the highest score reflected in the Boost Dashboard.
Lastly, we’ll look at Assessments. From this view you can see the number of questions in the assessment, the student score, and average answer time for correct and incorrect answers.
